National Volunteering Award Presentation

Yesterday afternoon, (Thursday 16th August) we received the National Volunteering Award 2012 from the Archives and Records Association at Wolverhampton City Archives.

We started the afternoon in the reception area, welcoming guests and mingling. A display was available about the project to tell the guests more about the project.

The event went very well and I would like to thank the ARA for presenting us with this award. I would also like to thank everyone for coming, particularly the volunteers, and making this day so special. Volunteering is very important to us at Wolverhampton City Archives and I hope that this award will help to set the foundations for future projects with archivists and volunteers working together to produce more fantastic resources.

  1. Congratulations, it is great to see this excellent project being recognised!

    • Thank you, we’re very pleased to have received the award and hope it will help strengthen our volunteering programme for the future.
